My father’s daughter
I couldn’t decide if I should title today’s blog “My father’s daughter” or “Karang Guni Man.”
I spent the last four days unpacking and throwing away stuff. I had to sort through boxes of my late father’s things. Oh my goodness, my dad was a karang guni man — well, not quite — karang guni men sell away their stuff, my Dad was a collector! ALC said he can open a store… tools, paint brushes, cables, wires, etc…
Ok confession time… I had to sort through HIS things in order to make way for MY things!
Oh goodness, I’m a collector too!
Home
This house is beginning to feel more like home now as things start getting put in place.
I had to go out yesterday. Coffee shops, supermarkets, wet market and shops are just across the street; getting around on public transportation is easy. Best of all, I have Mum and my best buddy with me.
There’s much to be thankful for.
Moving mountains
Carol whom I referred to in my last posting had her mountain. I have my mountain too of a different kind.
I finally made my big move to Mum’s place yesterday.
Oh my goodness! It’s easy to upsize – downsizing is another matter all together! I didn’t realise how much stuff I’d accumulated all these past ten years living on my own. I’ve moved from a three-room apartment to a room – a much smaller one at that! Major miscalculations is an understatement.
Ok so now I have a mountain to move… YIKES!
